Due to a number of factors I’ve purchased my own server (well, actually, more like leased it). http://BlogAdswap.com has been bringing in enough to cover the expense, and this site is using up a lot more bandwidth. I also found out my current host has recently changed their policies and is hosting porn.

Some time within the next week this site will be moved to a server that will host only my sites and the few hosting clients I have. I also have a friend I grew up with who’s a software guru for Nortel who I’ll be hosting his sites for free in exchange for some ongoing, expert, systems-management advice and oversite.

What this means is that the little bit of financial help BlogAdswap was bringing in will be curtailed. We are still squeaking by financially, but it seems with each surprise expense (like a big crack in the brand new car window we just had replaced) is offset by some surprise income (I’ve been asked to write a feature article for a major homeschooling magazine)
