Ann,

It is an interesting question but also the owner of the board has asked that people that want such answers get permission. Did Master Alex here show some love and respect to the group and do this or did he not think the above rule of this web site applied to him? I’ve been studied and a curiosity my whole life - This is Sorta like those wanted to study me as a child and pulled my pants down or gown up without asking but to a lesser level.

I tried to answer his question also in the second post also- The end answer to his question is adrenal crisis.....ummm pretty sure about that one- because I tried to answer it? thus it aint’ of interest Ouch? I din’t answer it in a cold detacted manner because I’ve come to see that medicine is a lot more fun than that - it actually dances and moves ...has feelings- it’s own energy. It doesn’t have to be stuffy and cold ...boring. Maybe Alex can see that condtions can be fun also.

I answered living in the real world I don’t crave as much salt it’s a on a border line but when I do and actually did as a child would go into the fridge and drink A1 steak sauce straight from the bottle also where I live know it is very hot and at times will drink pickle juice- Alex was asking and I do think the name Alexander is hot what happens when we don’t compensate and the reality that I did write about was adrenal crisis - you throw of the metabolic balance....we are sooner or later in trouble. I do know of some parents that wrote about electrolytes that with doctor supervision was given.

Plus, I’m having fun with him .....Ann you don’t have  CAH but I also agree goody, goody not a silly gender question. Because those of us that become experts on drinking but not water : ) also do wonder about how this affectes our CAH. Anyway peace to you and bummer you find me offensive because I was having fun posting to him ...I love smart people because I’m not. Yes ...salt retaining as in the one NP looking at me with pity saying you’re so puffy - they wanted to give me a water pill but I talked with another person with CAH that took water pills and ended up on the floor next to her bed with heart issues. It’s a message board and I’m sorry that you couldn’t see how happy I am writing these post to him. Ann, I’ve been the kid that is up all night going to the restroom also- I’ve been the kid that din’t make it to the restroom. Also things are a trade off - meant to put that in the other post. The body needs X amount of water to take of certain things but created issues for the other systems- something fun to bring into the paper there.

Anyway, ALEX ! I know that there is a study out there that does discuss how someone with CAH handles metabolizing alchohol. It’s not the same as your water question but I tried to find it again. I think you might of liked it.

When I went thru cancer a year and a half ago - they told me to drink as much water as possible and then some ; ) to flush out the residue from chemo. I made sure that I did ....yep went to the bathroom lots and lots but I looked good and flushed out : )  impuritities. Plus they always say that drinking lot’s 0 water makes it easier for blood draws.

At least Alex tell me your major and any thought on becoming an Endo? but only if you cute (wink, wink) having fun here. So any interest in thyroid conditions ..we all nuts  ; ) kidding.
