My daughter is 17 and I have noticed that she gets sick more often than any of the other kids and when it would take the other kids 2-3 days to get over a virus, it typically takes her about 5.  She misses an unbelievable number of days of school each year.  I think she is up to 20 so far this year.  Thank goodness she is a very good student.
