Hi Betsy

I was diagnosed 44 years ago. I started out on Prednisone for 12 years then to Dex for 17 years then 11 years on Prednisolone and now 4 years on Hydrocortisone. Whilst I was on the Dex I was really oversuppressed. I had to fight really hard with the Endos to get them to realise that I was being overtreated. I have since changed Endos and have a really good one who realises that CAH is a knife balancing routine getting the dosages correct. Because of the oversuppression, I morbidily obese , suffer from major depression, and Rheumatoid Arthritis - have had to have several bones in my feet fused due to the arthritis and my knees are now going also.  I also take thyroxine for thyroid problems, DHEA  and a lot of other medications. My health now is not as good as it was 20 years ago. In fact since my 40th birthday it has been downhill - but hey I’m alive and everyday is a great to be alive day.

How are you going?

God Bless

Fiona
