Lisa-that happened to me once. This was a period of time we switched from injectable Hydrocortone to solucortef. The Hydrocortone was no longer available and the one I had left for my daughter was expiring by the end of the month. We were also going away and I was panicking. I didn’t even have a prescription for the solucortef yet. So between getting a prescription faxed to the pharmacist, and then waiting for the order to come in, I thought we wouldn’t be able to travel. Luckily, the pharmacist assured me the Hydrocortone would be good even a few days over the expiration date. As it turned out-we used it too as my daughter became carsick and the triple cortef dose wasn’t enough. Now, I have 4 or 5 solucortef bottles on hand and there is always a back-up prescription on file at the pharmacy-I check the dates on the solucortef with each endo appt. I would call the endo if I didn’t have any solucortef. Maybe the endo can get it for you at the hospital he/she is affilitated with. Good LuckPamela
