Why when the problem is with the adrenal gland is this not in the ’title’. Sorry Martha for once we disagree. I do not think DSD is a fair title - it is as bad as intersex.  If you do not medicate SW boys or SWgirls - they will die due to lack of cortisol.  With boys there is no distinguishing genital abnormality - it may stick in some doctors mind more if the condition is recognised as ADRENAL DEFICIENT, my son was left dying whilst they scratched their heads and said - must be because mum hasn’t bonded, never thinking to test electrolytes because he looked so normal!!! OR lets think of another name for boys............ and how unjust would that be? I do feel very strongly about this but I appreciate we all have different opinions.
