I like writing to you and I think you get where I’m coming from and I’m that girl you are talking about except I have 11- hydroxylase deficiency simple virilizing CAH.

 I’ve often stated to Docs that my phenotype didn’t match the genotype after they ask me why did I have those surgeries done and after i tell them this then they turn pink- I had three turn pink just like that.

I don’t have those surgeries untill age five because they weren’t that sure what gender I was going to take a liking to. My brain was wired for the genitals that I was born with and can’t tell you how many times the adrogens have got me in trouble because i don’t look how i think. I had this nurse try and give me some pats on the knee and I told her in the most firm deep voice...stop that now....stop that please because she irratating me and she got muffed becauseI didn’t want her to do that - I was having a flash back and she was disturbing it and  another time she wanted to hold my hand and I said nooo that really is OK- hold her hand so I could slap her across the top of the head ..yeah . I’m agressive in the worst ways ---not good. My medical records had the pseudo-hermaphroditism secondary to 11-hydroxylase deficiency simple virilizing CAH and I like how I was born with looking like I had a little deflated ballon that I voided thru but was the same texture soft like a clitoris and it was me but the adrenal gland was the factor that caused so one would think that the focus would be on that cause and that alone would be the adrenal gland ....by the way the adreanl gland is managing to deal with my evil thyroid gland.

I don’t hate the word intersex but don’t think it is a good word for these condition and to me it implies the word intergendered and I’m not like that.

I think CAH might be able to toss that word and it would benefit all with the condition - if the word ambigous genitals  was used to describe certain specific cases of CAH then how would that be? CAH first and everything else secondary. What came first my CAH or the what the heck are those genitals. I lack the ability to make an adrenal gland hormone and a thyroid hormone- can you imagine being my Endo ; ) lucky guy.

I look at is majority rules and how many boys have CAH? or girls with yes to me just an enlarged clitoris and how many with CAH are born like me where although darn cute - nobody could figure out what sex we were until tests were done? Ok tally it up and however it breaks down then that is what CAH runs with. There it’s that easy and our condition ....our house. I’d like to see the external genital part be an important side bar and CAH stand out in front. :  )
