DianaSorry I didn’t make myself clear.....boys have CAH as well as girls. It is not my intention to imply only girls have CAH.
I would not expect the term CAH to change. I am only concerned with the description of ’intersex’ being used along with the condition & would like to see the term ’intersex’ stop being used when identifying CAH children. I must have not understand the first post as I thought the discussion was on coming up with a new term other than ’intersex’ when discussing genitalia development.
There are many CAH children born both male & female without genitalia differences!!!! But for the little girls born (who look like my daughter did & identified as male at birth) it would be appropriate if there genitalia did not classify them as ’intersexed’ as they are female children.
