You are so right on that one!! I think that they need to know how important this really is and the seriousness this has on people with SWCAH!!! My son has been to the ER before and they always ask well how did you know he has SWCAH, well I reply back that they test for this in the new born screening and that is how we found out. Then they say how did you know what the signs and symptoms were? Uh hello I just told you that we found out through the NB SCreening. I swear I think that sometimes im more smater than the doctors and I only am a medical transcriptionists. I do think though that they need to be educated. I just hate the look that they give you like you know everything about this and you tell them what needs to be done and they hate that. I have had to tell them to check his electrolytes and his other tests as well. and they look like well you have no right telling me what to do well you know they dont know CRAP!!!
