PamelaDear Roberta-
I hope you are reading all our posts and will try to get help. I found a number for the National Suicide Prevention Hotline: 1-800-273-TALK. If you feel that you will do something to hurt yourself, please call that number. Also, let your doctor know how you feel and ask for reccommendations, maybe changing the Prozac to something else, counseling referral, local support group, or talk to a close friend or family member. My daughter is almost 10 with SWCAH, and she definitely has had to deal with mood swings and having a different bodyshape than her "skinny" sister. She is very athletic, so I think she has that going for her and we try to be supportive of the idea that people come in all shapes and sizes. You seem to have several issues-the CAH/medication, your weight, your social/dating life, and general self-esteem issues. That can be so overwhelming to deal with alone. As a mom of a daughter with SWCAH, and as a healthcare professional, I hope you will get help. I’m glad you shared these thoughts on the board with us, and hope that our support and prayers will help you. I can only imagine that dealing With Addison’s disease is just as much a challenge as having CAH. Good luck to you.
