RobertaHi Aimee,
Thanks for your response. It’s nice to know that others have gone/are going through the same things I am.
Maybe I have the same kind of CAH that you do. I forgot to mention in my note that I have problems with hair on my upper lip and under my chin.
I’ve thought before about what you said about God providing the skills to make the cortisone. You might be right.
Thanks for the information about getting my thyroid and DHEA checked. I will ask my doctor to check them if she didn’t do it when I was there last. I always feel like she is rushing me and that she doesn’t have time for me to unload on her. She told me that she won’t prescribe my antidepressants so I have to get them from another doctor who doesn’t really have time for me either (at least that’s the way it seems).
I haven’t gotten to the point where I’ve seriously considered suicide but if I do, I hope I have the presence of mind to get to an ER. It’s such a huge and final decision that I don’t want to make it by myself.
I’m glad for you that you survived cancer. If the same thing happened to me I think I would refuse treatment but maybe if I really was in that situation I might react differently - do you know what I mean?
About men coming out of the woodwork if I liked myself, I don’t know. You might be right. They don’t even give me a chance - it’s like I’m wearing perfume called "Repel" or something. :-)
I’m envious that you like to be active and only have 40 pounds to lose!
I’m not really a social butterfly and the only volunteering that I’m doing now is playing with the cats at the local animal shelter.
Thanks for caring about me. It means alot!
Roberta
