Hi Kelly, I’m sorry too that this has happened to your daughter, but I am glad they found this early on before things became bad.

I also would like to have the fasting glucose test done to Taty, recently at NIH her glucose level was fine. I don’t know what it was though, I have not received the results on paper yet. Anyway, Taty has a dark neck. It doesn’t look like Nigrican Acanthosis (sp) I brought it up while we were there too. But if baseline can be normal then I guess we really can’t go by that. Taty’s periods are also still irregular, after 3 years.

I think I will have the test done on her to be sure, she also is a little thicker than society thinks she should be....ehem...so am I...and mostly since being on Dex and her on Cortef. We hate that of course.

I did have the test done for my son a while back, but because I thought he may have been hypoglycemic. Turns out he is not.

Well I am glad your knee surgeries went well, for some reason it feels like you said you have to have 3 surgeries. Forgive me if I’m wrong. Anyhoo, no wonder you weren’t suppose to be up and walking around!! I didn’t know it was on your knee! Be careful and take care of yourself. ((Hugs))
