I did read that adrenalectomies are not recommended for SV or LOCAH because patients do no currenlty have the salt-wasting problem. This is something new and life-threatening that they would have to deal with. My daughter is SWCAH and, trust me, we have looked at MANY other alternatives. We haven’t decided on the surgery yet, just looking into it as an option. I have wondered about losing any other important hormones that are working for her?
