Hi,

I wrote a message last week about being depressed and frustrated.  Several people suggested that I find a different endocrinologist and that I should get my thyroid and DHEA tested.

Well, I’m having a hard time finding an endocrinologist that specializes in adrenal disorders but I’m still working on it.

Also, I called my current endocrinologist and told her that I would like to have those tests run.  She LET ME get the tests and here are the results:  the TSH was 1.36 (normal is 0.4-5.50), and the DHEA was <15 (normal is 25-220).  Regarding the DHEA she said that she feels this may be low due to my adrenal hyperplasia (and the steroids I take).  She said that I do not need any other meds at this time.

Now I feel even MORE frustrated with her than I did after I read your responses to my earlier post.

By the way, I am SO GLAD I decided to post a message here last week.  Your kind and caring responses really helped "pick me up" -- Thank you.

Roberta
