karen pWe have a 14 - almost 15 yr old daughter with SWCAH. She just finished her Freshmen year in High School. She is perfect. Smart as a whip, fun to be around, and beautiful. She has been in good health all her life, her CAH has been in tight control her all her life. I contribute the good health to her good endocrinologist - she has been seen 4 times a year for most of her life, but after puberty - she now sees the endo 2 times a year. She is 5’7" tall and 117 lbs. She has tried to be involved in sports - but alas, she has no athletic ability. She is artistic and does have talent there. She takes cortef 3xday 10mg tabs and .1 mg of Florinef once a day. We went through years and years of infertility treatments to get this beautiful child, worth every minute of the misery - but after her diagnosis of CAH, we decided that we would not climb back on the infertility treatment merry-go-round of emotions. (we had been married 12 years when she was born - so we were old anyway!) If it were not so hard for us to have gotten pregnant, I would have loved to have had another child - CAH or no CAH.
