I have two SW CAH boys,  7 and 10 years old.  My memory is a bit fuzzy but what  I remember is I met with my regular OBGYN and she said I  have to read up on what to do etc...she called me back and  we were good to go,  she administered the DEX, I called her right when I knew I was pregnant and started the DEX.  CVS was not really and option at the time so we did the amnio at 18 or 20 weeks-  it takes 2+ weeks to get the results back.

We also had the genetic testing done prior to getting pregnant, we did it thru Cornell, the moste expensive but they test of the most mutations.

We did meet with a genetic conselor,  I did not find it helpful or useful.  Just told us what are chances were etc...I knew that from 8th grade bilology.

I hated the DEX.  It made me very crabby and hungry,  out of control.  I could not sleep which is what made me feel bad,  I think. 

I love my two boys and I am so happy I had a second child.  Our boys are doing great,  they are happy, smart, funny and very active in sports.  Very normal boys.
