As soon as I found out I was pregnant, I called my daughter’s endo to ask her what she recommended.  She referred me to a high risk OB and called in a script for Dex.  I gained about 75 lbs by the time the baby was born.  I don’t remember though exactly how long I was on the dex.  I know that I quit as soon as we determined that the baby was a boy.  I did not have an amnio or CVS because the sonogram tech & the Dr. knew, without a doubt, that it was a boy and NOT a virilized girl.  We trusted the Dr. and chose not to take the risk of amnio/CVS.  The good thing about the dex is that I didn’t have ANY morning sickness (I was deathly ill with my other prenancies) and I had soooo much energy.  My husband would have to remind me that I should take it easy and rest.  I don’t remember having trouble sleeping.

After what we went through with our SWCAH daughter and surgery, I wouldn’t have not taken the dex.  Although, I’m still trying to lose all that weight.  And YES, the stretch marks are horrible!

Hope this helps!!!
