As my asthma has been very bad for a few months and having tried A/B’s, high dose steroids, maximum daily puffer doses etc. when I saw my doctor on Saturday he said that to help my cough he’s try Codeine Linctus, for which he wrote a script.

I had the first dose of this Codeine Linctus on Saturday night (on an empty stomach - silly girl) just before bed and when I awoke with the pain in my stomach that escalated, it reminded me exactly of the pain I had four years ago when I had stomach erosions/ulcer. So possibly it aggravated the stomach lining. I must admit because it was so bad I wondered if a vessel had ruptured as I had bad back pain as well. There was no evidence of blood when I vomited, so that was consoling.

We all slept in a tad this morning (Monday) after a VERY good sleep. I think we’ve all recovered now.
