SophinaHi
I need some advise and wondered if others out there could help. I have an eight year old daughter with salt wasting CAH. She was diagnosed at about 8 weeks in age and has been on Hyrdrocortisone and flusocortisone since.
She is generally well, but i have two concerns one is her skin she has a very greasy t-zone, and small white pimples in this area of her face. I have bought her witch hazel wipes and a witch stick which she uses regularly but the spots seem to be getting worse, and some are developing into black heads(probrlm started about 3 months ago. She also has quite a lot of pubic hair, i discussed both concerns with her consultant last month, but was told that they were nothing to worry about, and that the pimples were probably due to excess androgens as getting the balance right is very difficult, and the early pubic hair is due to the late diagnosis, still concerned about this as she is on the lowest dose of hydrcortisone possible for her height and weight, very slim, but generally healthy, i know some girls can start puberty quite young, but 8 seems to young and i think she would be really distressed if she started her periods soon. She is having blood work in September but hasn’t had any blods tetsed in over a year! Any advice or sharing of experience would be really appreciated.
