I agree with Mary.  Your daughter was diagnosed at a very young age and so early puberty was not caused by this, but by inadequate medication, causing excess androgens to be produced. You say your daughter is on the lowest dose possible for her height and weight - it sounds as if it is too low!  At 8 years of age, she is too young to be experiencing signs of puberty and I am shocked that her consultant did not suggest tests, with the view of perhaps putting her on Lupron (to halt puberty for a while)   How can her consultant have dismissed her problems as being due to excess androgens, yet he didn’t even take any blood tests or increase her medication to combat this? He said "getting the balance right is difficult" - it is his job for goodness sake!!

I personally would be horrified if my daughter did not have her bloods regularly checked (at least 6 monthly) and she hasn’t even got any problems!  Waiting until September sounds ludicrous to me.  Sorry, I don’t really wish to alarm you but think you should either demand she receive the attention she deserves now or see about requesting a second opinion elsewhere.  Your endo sounds very lax to me!
