It seems to me that blood work should be done more often than that.  My boys because we travel three hours to get the endo, only see their endo every six months.  But, because one of my sons needs closer monitoring, we will go every three months.  At each appt. they get bloodwork done and once a year they receive a bone scan to determine bone age.

Regarding physical changes, my son was diagnosed late and has had pubic hair for some time....the blonde, sparce kind.  Our endo is not concerned with that..only when it turns dark and thicker.

Is your daughter growing in heighth as she would in a growth spurt?  If so, I would get a blood draw right away because her adrenal may not be surpressed.

Good luck!
