StacyMy almost 7yr. old SWCAH daughter had her endo visit yesterday. She has always been very well supressed sometimes too much however her last bone age showed a bit of an increase so we raised her cortef slightly. She is short for her age following the 5% pretty much all her life (44in./491/2lbs). I discussed with him trying to work on her height some and what our options might be. Her height prediction would normally put her slightly above average(not that you can count on them). He suggested adding Letrozole and scaling back on the cortef some.
From the earlier post the side effects I am seeing are possible fertility issues(boys only?) and osteoporosis? Does anyone else have information to share? She has not started puberty I just thought maybe we could work on her height some or maybe we should leave well enough alone? Just in the research stage right now...
Thanks,
Stacy
