I have read that you shouldn’t use antibacterial soaps because they not only kill the bad bacteria but the good as well and it doesn’t give your body a chance to build up it’s own resistance to the bug. I dont EVER use these soaps, we dont use hand sanitizers, we’re not anal about washing our hands, etc... and my girls (3yo and 1yo) and I hardly ever get sick.

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,170188,00.htmlone more thing, if you (or your children) take acidolphilus/probiotics (ESPECIALLY when taking antibiotics), it will help strengthen the immune system and hopefully protect them from catching every bug that comes around. they even make chewables for kids.
