Not sure if its good news yet

My 5 month old daughter was diagnosed w/ SWCAH at birth. Her
17Hydroxy Progesterone was 18K. We repeated the test couple of weeks ago and now its just 39. The endo has said she doesn’t need
any surgery since she has a very mild form of CAH. Her plasma renin
is 0.2. We don’t remember what it was at birth.

At this point, the endo recommends continuing her treatment,
reducing cortef and seeing if the numbers are still in the range.

My wife was on Prednisone and Lovenox during pregnancy. My daughter was born premature at 34 weeks. Is it possible that because
of the pre-term and meds my wife was on, the doctors found high 17
hydroxy #s? I am praying that its the case. I am also looking for advice
on how to proceed dealing with the situation. Google search reveal
that there is a very good chance of false-positives in pre-term babies.

Any help or pointers are appreciate. Thanks
