How do you give night-time meds to infant/toddler?
Jun. 12th, 2006   9:54pm

My son just turned 9 month’s and suddenly we’re having trouble giving him his night-time dosage.  He goes to sleep at 7:00 and we wake him at 10:00 to take his medication (hydrocortisone and sodium chloride).  We used to just add it to about an ounce or two of formula and he would drink it while he was still basically sleeping.  But he’s going through a phase right now where he doesn’t want a bottle and it’s horrible trying to get him to take the medication.  The only thing that works is fully waking him up and giving him the meds mixed in applesauce.  But the poor baby is so tired...it’s just such an ordeal.  I feel like I’m back to square one...the stress of when he was a newborn!  Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!  Thank you!
