Hello!

On a road trip, our 9 year old SWCAH son broke out in itchy HIVES (the biggest hives I’ve ever seen) ALL OVER his body!  He started vomiting.  After arriving at an emergency room (5 hours from our home) he got IV fluids.  The ER doc thought he had a stomach virus on top of an allergic reaction.  I had given the Solu-Cortef injection, and the vomiting stopped, although the hives were not any better!

Have any of you heard of an adrenal reaction to an allergic reaction?  I told the ER doc that I disagreed, and that he had an adrenal reaction to the allergic reaction. 

Any thoughts???
