Our daughter is now 7 but from when she was born we always just dissolved the tablet in a little bit of water with a syringe and then syringed it into her mouth while she was asleep.  She never woke up, she just swallowed it.  Even now we give her tablet at 10 pm when she’s asleep and she just chews it up in her sleep and we give her a drink to wash it down, she never wakes up.
