Hello!  Thank you for replying about how to give an infant salt.  We see our endo at the end of this month and I was going to ask her how long he has to take salt in this form.  You said that your endo said 9 months?  Is that because you can start adding it to table food?  We really have to dilute the salt with formula or food...otherwise our son will gag and throw it up.  Just when we had a really good routine going, he decides he doesn’t want to drink from a bottle.  So the past few nights we’ve had to wake him up and put him in his high chair to give him some food mixed with the SC.  It’s horrible because he’s so tired and he just cries and cries.  It breaks my heart.

Also, would you happen to know if Sodium Chloride is given three times a day for a long time (years and years)...or is this something that he won’t have to take and salt on his food will be sufficient?  (Again, I’m going to ask our endo this question, but I thought I’d ask you since I’m on here now.)

Thank you!

Susan
