re: How do you give salt to a sleepy baby?

My daughter with SWCAH is now 10.  I remember how difficult it was as an infant to get her to take the salt.  Before age 1 we switched to the salt tablet, crushed it between 2 spoons, added a little apple juice to a syringe and slipped it in to her mouth when she was sleeping.  She would actually take it this way.  We did this with the Cortef too, at night.  By 2 she swallowed her pills no problem.  She never did like the breast milk with it was an infant-we used formula-and it was a nightmare for the first 6 months giving her the meds.  Then you get past it and work on the next challenge!
