My son was diagnosed SWCAH at the age of 2 months.The doctor stopped both HC & Florinef at once not gradually for a week when he was a 5 month old. According to our doctor there are 10% chances that this condition may not exist life long. But my child got sick with fevet right from the third day itself. He got irritated, cried a lot & refused feeds. The doctor advised us for his ACTH & 17OHP on the fourth day. ACTH had shooted too high. Then again we started his meds. Unfortunately, this confirmed his life long condiion.
