My oldest son SW CAH has had hives all over several times.  They always come at the end of a viral illness.  It takes 2-10 days of treating them with either Claritin (does not work great, but OK once the hives are under control) or Benedryl (it makes you sleepy).  I know lots of people get hives,  not sure it has anything to do with CAH.
