She was switched to prednisone at about 12 yrs due to puberty...Her endo says the 3x a day dosage allows better control during puberty. Dexamethasone was actually his first choice, but she was "hyper-sensitive" to it, and it caused EXCESSIVE weight gain. She did gain a little on the Prednisone, but the better control was worth it.
