I’m a carrier and I had my ears pierced when I was about 16 and I swear they never healed.  For years I would try to wear earrings - every kind, pure gold, hypoallergenic, and I would always get infections.  Once I had swollen glands and a doctor told me to take the earrings out.  But seriously, I would get a little scabbing for probably 20 years after taking the earrings out.  I just checked and I think it’s finally gone.  Do you think it’s because of the CAH gene?
