I must admit that I thought that Hydrocortisone had much less anti-inflammatory action than does Prednisone/Prednisolone and Dex and therefore less likely to do such a good job of easing the musculoskeletal pain.

However at 100mg intramuscular injection I suppose it’s likely to potentiate whatever anti-inflammatory action it has to its maximum.
