re: Anxiety

Yes, we have always noticed.... not so much that he gets nervous more often, but when he DOES get nervous or uncomfortable, he goes all out.

As a matter of fact tonight for example......he realized that he had to go to school tomorrow and face a girl who had asked him to be her boyfriend (they are 11 years old).  He had told her no and he was getting very anxious because of all this.  It got to him so badly that he began gagging as if he were going to throw up.

Once I talked him through it and explained what was happening to him and why he was feeling this way he began to regain his composure and calm down.  We’ll see what tomorrow morning will bring.(;>)

I have always found that explaining things to him seems to give him the power of understanding what is happening to him thereby letting him feel a little more in control.

I hope this helps.
