re: Anxiety

At about the same age my daughter was the same. Would hide her head & not look at new people. Was very anxious around anyone or anything new. Also did not like to be in a crowd of people. Took her to a parade one time & she screamed the whole time. Subways, trains etc. can’t get her off fast enough, my other kids loved going places.

I tell her where we are going, who she will see & what we will be doing. Helps her to prepare for the situation & I have found that this helps her not to be so nervous. At 4 she is now starting to accept new people & situations more easily but is still an anxious child at times.

I was told by endo Dr that this is a behavior that can be associated with CAH, I should have asked if it was due to the meds. I will ask next time we see her.

It will get better for your son as he grows & learns more coping skills.
