MHi, does anyone know how to convert mcg/dl to ug/dl. I have the reference range for cortisol in ug/dl but not for mcg/dl so I’m not sure how to interpret results. It is marked as being out of range, so is my DHEA which is <15.
So I really don’t see how my dhea can be low still on such a low dose of Dex. (.25mg)Also my 24 hr cortisol was 1.5mcg/dl-24hr and 16mcg/dl-24hr, and 3.2mcg/dl at 8:55am. My 17 ohp had shot up some, but they said could have been from stress of traveling...etc..soooo I wonder what there is to do to fix the dhea’s I know we need it for something lol. I have had low dheas for many years since being treated (12yrs). Does anyone know what harm it’s causing? My androstendione was 53ng/dl. The ref range I have says adult female 65 t 270ng/dl. So wouldn’t that mean I would have some room to titrate my dose down a tadbit? If my cortisol is low then I would think that I may benefit from a less potent steroid, one that will give me cortisol without stomping out my dheas...and heck I need some of those hormones to feel good about myself, huh? Anybody have any input? Sorry this is so long!
