MHi there, thank you so much. No actually I only shave my legs once maybe twice a week, even my eyebrows are thinner than they used to be. I have no hair on my hiney or thighs, or acne. So no problems with signs of excess androgens. I wake up at 7 every morning and work out 5 nights a week about 1 and1/2 hours each evening. I have the energy to do all I need to do, but honestly things seem so mundane to me a lot.....and here is something I discovered and I don’t know if it’s in my head or what. But when I half my .25 dose I not only feel a spark with my libido I also feel almost happier and light hearted. Which kind of leads me to feel that maybe the Dex has something to do with it. So far I have not felt tired at all on the days I have halved my dose, on the contrary I have actually felt better.
Actually right now it seems I am have had a slight weight gain, my face looks fuller than usual and my tummy seems fuller to me, that began in March. I also feel that my muscles have looked puffy ever since I started Dex 12 years ago, except for the 2 times I went off Dex. When I was pregnant with my son and when I went of Dex on my own a few years ago. I lost 17lbs in a month. So it makes it very tempting to want to go off, but now that I know I have the p30l/deletion mutations I don’t think I would chance it, even though I would like a break. I know that must sound kinda crazy. But I really don’t enjoy being fluffy.
I am due to return to NIH in August, they are going to do some more tests. I plan to bring this up with them. Since they told me everything was fine, but for myself I don’t thnk it’s fine. I want to feel as normal as possible. I actually wouldn’t mind a little extra androgen, lol. I’m sure my hubby would be happy also.
So do you know what side effects occur because our dheas are low?
Thank you so much Carol, I truly appreciate your responses. Take care
