CKCarol, thanks for your response. I’m printing the article right now. I recognize that this is an inexact science and I’m starting to try to understand the treatment. My daughter 11y.o. now was diagnosed at 9. Doc said she had lost a lot of height that she could never recoup and was worried that she might not hit 5 feet. We started meds--she is now 5’5’’ (taller than me) and now the prediction is 5’9" =/- 4 inches! I guess her height if she didn’t have CAH would have been 7 feet!! All this has made me question the whole process but I can’t ask the right questions until I obtain a little more information. It seems like every six months the pendulum swings from one extreme to the other, and it is starting to make me a little nervous. So thank you very much for the information as I start out on the learning curve!
