MI looked up crh and bipolar, there are studies being done linking excessive crh with bipolar illness, through the study done on carriers it was proven that many carriers produce too much crh in order to produce the cortisol they need. I assume that it depends on what gene the carrier is carrying and the severity.
I have a brother that is bipolar. It is still not known if he is just a carrier or actually has the same mutations as myself. I did have the opportunity to see his medical records from one of his admissions into the hospital with cellulitis. I informed the doc that I had CAH and that my brother needed to be tested. Well on the records he wrote negative for addisons, and only tested his cortisol levels which were low normal.
I could just scream at the system, and all the people with the hard heads including my family that will not listen or take this seriously. I wrote down everything for my bro to take to the doc, including my dna results. Maybe they can get him to an endo. God willing. Somehow in my heart I feel that if his endocrine imbalance is corrected he may somewhat be relieved of the symptoms of his condition. Mind you the symtoms of his condition did not present until he suffered an extreme personal devistation triggering it. Anyway I’m babbling now, sorry. Thanks for reading if you did.
