TiffaneyI am looking into homeschooling my soon-to-be 4th grade son for multiple health reasons. I have so many questions about it and would like input from other homeschooling parents. I’ve found an on-line virtual academy that provides the curriculum, books and other supplies, computer, and printer at no cost. Because it is a public virtual school, it has all the same requirements as the brick and mortar school for our state and provides all the standardized testing just like a regular school. He will be supervised by a teacher monthly either by phone, e-mail, or in person. I work full-time, but my in-laws are able and willing to teach him when I’m at work. I work three 12 hr. shifts/wk. and every 3rd weekend. Does anyone else teach at home and work full-time and still find it successful for themselves and their child? Thank you in advance for any comments.
