You’ve discovered the secret some schools don’t want out. They (some not all government schools) will do as little as they can get away with, and tell you it’s the most your kid is capable of. It sounds to me like you’ve already had enough experience to make a good shot at it. Your son sounds like one of the ones who will study on his own, which will make homeschooling perfect for him.
