It seems to be that there has been a previous discussion about giving blood on this board, but I can’t find it in the archives.

When I have tried to give blood in the past, the people running the blood drive have gotten nervous and told me that I couldn’t give because "hyperplasia" means you have a high growth of cells. However, they are basically reading this from a medical dictionary and don’t want to take any chances.

I had a doctor once tell me that it was fine for me to give blood -- it wouldn’t harm those receiving the blood. Anyone have any experience with this issue?
