What to do - blood draws??
Jul. 25th, 2006   9:51pm
Today we took our daughter to get her blood test -- last time we went was 3 months ago and now that she is older she cries a lot more. As soon as we got into the room before they started to do anything she started to cry and cried continuously. She’s 18 months.

Was just wondering if there was anything special that anyone has done to make these blood draws easier since they have to do it every 3 months.

Because they weren’t able to find the vein we need to go back and have someone else try. Before we always had to use a transport nurse (we didn’t ask for one this time because we had to leave) and the person that could find our daughter’s vein left so we have to find someone else who can. Even sometimes the transport nurse had a difficult time which causes my daughter to be in pain.

Any insight you could provide would be great.

Thanks in advance.
