Jonathan (12) has been being brave for his lab draw for years now. He takes pride in not letting it bother him. Ginny (8) has just begun to be able to do it without crying. While she cries sometimes, it’s been a while since she’s actually resisted.

The lab visit is always a lesson to me, especially when they were younger. I watched them, saw their fear and confusion and realized that I was the same way about so many things that happens in my life, but God has in control. And just as there’s a reason for my kids to have top endure the needle sticks, there’s a reason God has for everything that happens to me. I just don’t always know that reason, but I know, or should kn ow, that He’s in control and has promised that all things work for good.
