We use "Elamax" cream....same as Emla, I guess. Works Great! As far as the post about concerns over constricting the vessels, we have never had that problem. I have heard that if you leave it on too long (an hour or so) that it can do this. But, we give it 25 minutes and my daughter (6 y/o) says she can’t feel the needle at all.  She doesn’t even flinch! We have been through all of the anxiousness, crying, etc. and then we got the Elamax cream....What a difference this makes. She actually asks me when she has her next blood draw! Good Luck!
