DarleneSame things everyone else has mentioned has happened to both my boys (SWCAH who are now 2 & 4). The first time it happened with my older son, I was so scared. He had slept in later than usual & when I went to rouse him, he was so lethargic -it was all I could do to get food in him & tripled his meds. In hindsight, we should probably have given the solu-cortef, as with the oral meds, it took about an hour for him to "bounce" back & he was quiet the rest of the morning. He’s had 1 more incident like this, and my 2 year old had a similar one. With each of them, a small cold followed, and the day before the incident, they hadn’t eaten much (holidays & playing with their cousins). Now we are very aware of making sure hey eat enough balanced food & our endocrinolgist suggested if we thought they hadn’t had enough food or something felt off, we could double dose them at night as a precaution (we have only done this 2x, it’s not something we do regularly). So far, we haven’t had any incidences in over a year.
