NB screening saved my daughters life, so please don’t suggest they aren’t of any use. With my 2nd we chose not to dex or test even though we were sure she was affected. Our Endo would only treat the CAH when Sara was born, she did not add sodium until Sara’s sodium had dropped to 31and when it did, 9 days later, it happened scarey fast (within 12-18 hours). Already having one with CAH definitely helped with the 2nd one but without NB screening our experience would have come from a much more tragic source.
