Thank God you listened to your instincts! I know that we would have lost our son if his results didn’t come back 4 days after he was born. I had a c-section and went home on day 3...on day 4 the pedi called about the abnormal tests and we spent the next 6 days at Johns Hopkin’s Hospital. I’m a new mom and though I thought it was weird that my son was extremely groggy and not eating well...I brushed it off because I figured babies are known for sleeping and I also heard that breastfeeding could be difficult. If we didn’t get those tests back so quickly, I know he would have died in our care.
