Cody is 9 yrs old & has never cried or had a hard time when it came to his lab work. It is routine for him just like taking his meds. We have been very lucky. Also a good nurse makes a whole lot of difference. We always try to get the same one. Which I know might not be possible.

We always plan something for afterwards so he has something to look for like Chuckie Cheese!!

I know your child is much younger. I have a big fear of needles myself and it makes me want to cry everytime he gets his labs because he is so brave.

You might want to try the numbing cream some have mentioned in previous posts. We have never used it.

It does get better with time.
